Addictive behaviour can be set in place for many different reasons. Almost anything can be addictive – alcohol, smoking, food, work, gaming, the internet and apps; to name a few. We can get obsessed, attached, addicted or just out of control with any of them. This can cause problems for you and the people around you. Addictions can be caused for many reasons from social learning to missing basic needs. They are then glued in place over time and in the unconscious mind. It does not have to be this way. You can be free.
How can hypnotherapy help?

I will disassemble the emotional and habitual links which caused the compulsion and we will then plan a life without it. Techniques to clear past trauma, reconnect with resilience and fulfil basic needs are used to strengthen your ability to break free. Once the old unhelpful pattern has been cleared we can then focus on how you will move on with your future.
It’s been a few months now since our “giving up smoking” session and things are going well. Despite going through a couple of high emotional life events, I have felt strong with the choices I have made not to smoke. On a day to day basis I feel like a non-smoker, on the odd occasion those weak moments raise their head, I find the decision not to smoke, cemented on a solid base of a brighter future without the ferocious harm of tobacco.
